Since November 2022, I have been in Ukraine evacuating people from the front lines, delivering aid, and providing crucial medical training to Ukrainian civilians and soldiers. I decided to go to Ukraine to help the war effort after hearing the atrocities befalling the Ukrainian citizens. The images of the war and the firsthand accounts that were being shared in the news were unimaginable and motivated me to help in any way possible. I believed I would have the most impact by traveling to Ukraine so I could provide assitance where needed. Upon arriving, I found a volunteer organization, operating in Ukraine and became a volunteer. As a volunteer, I pay for my own expenses, which has become costly. I hope to continue helping the people of Ukraine as they attempt to carry on with their lives while Russia still attack towns, cities, and villages where they live.
