So I've fucked up, and I need help..... here's what happened.....

I've never been good at math. I thought I added everything up properly. But apparently not. Earlier this month, before I got my food stamps I was just getting snacks from the vending machines on the first floor of my building. At the same time I was paying my bills. It's a week between the time I get my direct deposit and food stamps, and I had yet to learn of the convenience store that is 1 block from my apartment. So as I was doing these actions, I thought I had added it all up right and that I was gonna have enough money... Sadly that wasn't the case.

These snacks from the vending machines range from 0.75 to 1.45 each. So it isn't like I was spending a bunch of money, but it all adds up in the end. Turns out these transactions NEVER posted when they were supposed to... they sat in pending for 3 days!! Even though I did the math 3 times over.... I ended up with 7 overdraft fees on each of my accounts. Because the bank counts an overdraft per transaction.... it has put me roughly at -650.00 between both accounts. I called the bank and explained what happened..... they said they could only reverse 3 overdrafts as that was their policy, but if I went into a branch.... the guy on the phone said they might be able to do more.

So I went into the branch, even brought my mom's death certificate... thinking -hoping that'd get me some sympathy. They never even looked at it. The bank manager told me because the phone side of the bank already reversed the charges that are allowed, that they can't do anything. He said that if it had been bank error they could have, but because it was something I did.. they can't. When my next check gets Direct Deposited it will clear up 1 account, but the other... not so much.

Since Mom's death.... I'd been going really really great with the donation you sent, the money my family sent, and other people that have donated as well. I have no family here, and I can't ask any of them for any more money. My Dad does live here, but I have only talked to him 3 times in the past 15 years, and only saw him once in all that time since moving into my new place. So I seriously doubt he'll help. Plus I know he'll give me a lecture about being responsible etc etc... I know I FUCKED UP......

You all generously helped before, anything you can send to help now is greatly appreciated. I was so shocked and grateful to see that someone I didn't even know was a fan of my podcasting ha sent me money. Again thank you. I've attached an image of my balances so you can see the amounts.

^ since the above incident... I've gotten 1 account back in the positive, but one still stands as -$390.00

Damnit...... I was in such a good place too ugh!! please help if you can!

More Info

So here's the thing..............my mom got into a severe car accident when she was living in Massachusetts in 2010-2011.....The case has been in hold up hell for 5-6 years now. Obviously at this point my Mom has died. According to the lawyers up north in Mass... I need to become the executor of mom's estate..... BUT since she was living here in KY when she died I need to file here. Problem is the court costs are $215.00!!! Money which I do not have.

If I file these court applications the settlement will go through, but I need to do so BEFORE November 12th. Sadly I do not have the $215.00 needed to file, and I won't have it til December. UGH

If anyone is willing to help please do so. I appreciate everything anyone has donated whether through this or in the past. If I get this done with the settlement going through I should be able to plan for the future and start saving money every month. Something I've wanted to do for the past 5 months, but living with a disability is not easy.

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated.

The money raised so far has helped a lot!!! However even with the new year... II still need help. Anything beyond the money already raised is going towards getting bills caught up, and getting food on the table.

Update #5

So this will be the first Christmas and Birthday (in Feb 2016) that I'll be without my mom. I'n pretty sure Santa is skipping my house this year. Anything above the $425.00 already raised will go towards bills and other general life stuff.... as well as maybe saving for my first ever trip out to California to see my girlfriend Jen. If anyone can donate please do.

Update #1

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who has donated, it's really helping me out. My goal with the money raised is to get a nest egg going for a savings account so I can eventually move. Hopefully the moving won't be til next year or later, but every bit helps. Thanks again everyone!!!
