I am preparing to make my third mission trip to serve our partners in Tijuana, Mexico. This year I am taking my 9 year old brother Jude to see and experience why I love our partners and the people in Mexico!

JUST A FEW WEEKS AWAY... In a day and age of accumulation and consumerism, Kim and I have made a concerted effort to provide our boys with experiences rather than just things. I so want them to recognize by the world’s standards that we are “rich” in so many ways. But most of all, for them to connect what they have been given to those who are in need locally and globally. I love that our church, Fellowship Church Knoxville, is committed to long term relationships with our partners at the Tijuana Christian Mission. Just that critical fact changes the nature of a trip, we go to continue to build relationships, and work alongside their hopes and dreams for their community.
Elijah and I are especially excited this summer to take Jude (my 9 year old) along with us on his first mission trip. He has watched Eli come home renewed and reoriented. This year Jude will have the opportunity to experience something that simply can not be captured by hearing the stories or swiping through the photos from Tijuana. As a Father, I can not wait to watch him connect with the people and his heart shaped and perspective broadened by a world he has yet to experience.
The funds we raise will go directly toward airfare, lodging, food, transportation, supplies, materials and interpreters for our trip July 8-15. Having the funds to be able to go is important, but we simply want you to be a part of our trip by praying for our team and giving if you are prompted to do so. We would be grateful for any amount ($10, $20, $50...) you choose to give. Our hope is to raise $1750 for the 3 of us with any remaining money to go directly to the orphanage. Thank you for being a part.
When I was 6 years old, I remember seeing a video of our middle school students and hearing their experiences of sharing the gospel, handing out food, playing soccer and building friendships with the kids at the orphanage. It was that video and those students that encouraged my Dad and I to take our first trip with the Family Team in 2014. You can read about our experiences here.
I am now a middle schooler and I want to be an inspiration to others and continue to serve alongside our global partners in Tijuana this summer with our Middle School Team.
We are especially excited this summer to take my brother Jude (9 yrs old) along with us on his first mission trip. Jude has watched me come home renewed and reoriented to the things I now see as something to stewarded. This year Jude will have the opportunity to experience something that simply can not be fully captured by hearing the stories or swiping through the photos from Tijuana. I can not wait to watch him connect with the people and his heart shaped and perspective broadened by a world he has yet to experience.
The funds we raise will go directly to fund our flight, travel expenses, and preparations for our trip July 8-15. Having the funds to be able to go is important, but my Dad and I simply want you to be a part of our trip by praying for our team and giving if you are prompted to do so. We have created this site so you can see what we have been a part of in the past.
