About The Team

I lost my father suddenly at the age of five. Although I did not have many years with him, during our time together, he showed me the important role fathers have in their children’s lives – building their children’s character and confidence, while contributing to their children’s overall development.

The Midlands Fatherhood Coalition provides fathers with resources to help better themselves; those fathers, in turn, use these resources to positively influence the lives of their children, families and community members.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, the delivery of MFC’s services to Midlands fathers was almost entirely through in-person outreach. Covid-19 greatly changed that, forcing MFC into a virtual environment. In order to most effectively reach our fathers, we have adapted to safely connect with the fathers we serve, but we need your help. Many of the IT resources needed for impactful, remote delivery of our services require computer software and equipment that was not necessary for face to face interactions.

During this campaign I give to help MFC obtain the technology needed to continue to thrive in a remote-environment. Please join me in this campaign to raise funds for IT upgrades to allow us to safely connect with the fathers and children that we serve.

More Info

In the age of Zoom meetings, it is important to have computers with cameras.  Our team is looking to raise $10,000 for IT upgrades that will allow our intervention specialists to work one-on-one with fathers. During COVID, especially,  it is both safer for staff, as well as being better for the fathers we serve.
