Mdm Sulia is a mother of 3 with an 11 year-old child with special needs and 2 young children. Her husband recently had an accident and was placed on long-term medical leave. It was not easy for the family, especially more so during this pandemic period, but her children have been her real source of strength. She shared about her daughter's recent birthday and how excited her daughter was to be celebrating it. It was indeed heartening to hear that her children were coping well despite the challenges faced by the family.
The North East Growth Fund is an assistance scheme introduced to help low-income families and individuals with the purchase of formula milk and diapers for young children (aged 0 to 6 years of age). Mdm Sulia's family is one of many who has received support under our Growth Fund. With this support provided, it has helped her in ensuring her children's well-being and good health.
Mdm Sulia is thankful of the support rendered by North East CDC and wants others in similar situations to know that they are not alone. "If you need help, don't keep to yourself. Don't feel embarrassed to ask around. You will realise that there is help out there."
North East CDC has always stood ready in offering support to North East residents, and we continue to do so even amidst this current crisis.
