My cat's medical treatment

My cat's medical treatment

From Joon woo Kim

I'm raising money to provide the right treatment to my sick cat. She is suffering from pleural effusion which is fluid fills up around her lungs and presses so it causes the breathing problem.

Mochi has lived with us for 9 years, we adopted her when she was 3months old at San Francisco SPCA Mission Adoption Center. She was just a baseball-size cute little kitty with her brother but their mother cat was killed by a car accident and the animal rescue team saved them and moved them to the shelter.

I would definitely say she is such a smart cat I've never seen in my life. She came to me when I was in a bad mood and rubbed her head on to my hand to cheer me up which can tell she can pick up my emotional change and also when there is something we all celebrate, she is always the first one that sits on the dinner table and shouted out for joy.

A week ago, we noticed Mochi (my cat's name)had a hard time breathing, so we took her to the hospital and the doctor informed us that she has pleural effusion which is fluid fills up and presses her lungs so she's having a problem for breathing. Even though we provided an X-ray, echocardiogram, and fluid test for her but the cause is still unknown.

Therefore, we are on a final exam which is giving a CT scan to my little girl, Mochi, and see what the cause is so we can provide the right treatment to save her from this terrible disease. We haven't thought about life without her. Please help us to save her.
