Hello everyone! I'm Griffin Becker, I've been playing French Horn for 8 years. I've had the opportunity to play with amazing groups such as the Santa Rosa Youth Orchestra, the Santa Rosa Junior College Orchestra, the Santa Rosa Symphony, the 2015 Sonoma County Honor Band, the 2015 and 2016 Northern California Honor Band, the 2016 California All-State Honor Band, the Santa Rosa High School Symphonic Band, and have even performed on a musical tour in China.
Now, I have been accepted to play with the 2016 All-National Honor Band in Grapevine, Texas from November 10th through 13th. However, I need your help.
What does the $900 cover?
$675 tuition: Lodging for 3 nights at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center, 3 days of meals, sheet music, transportation to and from the airport.
$200 airfare (approximately)
$25 luggage insurance: Due to the poor track record of airlines and instruments, insurance is necessary to protect my French Horn while traveling. While I'm unsure of the actual cost of insurance for my Horn, $25 will help to reduce what my family pays out of pocket.
