Ocean Beach Security Program

The main objectives of the OB Security Program are:

• To preserve the family-friendly nature of Ocean Beach 
• Keep the RESPECT OB campaign going - anyone who comes to live in peace and harmony is welcome, but to be accepted you must Respect OB.
• To help maintain the beauty of Ocean Beach by reporting graffiti and illegal dumping of mattresses, couches and furniture in the streets and alleys - you might not believe how many people throw their junk into the streets 
• Enhancing public safety for residents, property owners, businesses, visitors and tourists through increased security presence throughout Ocean Beach, specifically at certain problem areas, in an effort to eradicate bad behaviorists and criminals.
• Help to be a solution for the community’s call for more public safety initiatives
• Supplement the understaffed San Diego Police Department as an extra set of eyes on the streets
