Peru Mission Trip 2023

I began visiting Peru on mission trips in 2010. I've been a part of some amazing gospel adventures over the course of nine trips. Now, I believe God wants me to return. I am part of team of 8 from Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church that is heading to Arequipa (Lord willing) July 6–15, 2023.

What do you do in Arequipa?

As in years past, our team plans to visit several orphanages, schools, and churches where we can reach children, usually children in distress. Our team will give sizable financial gifts to ministries and churches that are doing a great job helping kids. We will also personally connect with hundreds of children through skits, music, sports, and crafts. We will be sharing the gospel everywhere we go. Child evangelism is our main goal.

Working with a Church and Missionaries

As a short term mission team, we realize that our work is necessarily limited. That's why we make it a high priority to serve with people who live in Arequipa full time.

We have a strong Peruvian partner in Pastor Efrain Medina and his wife, Dorcas. These two are tireless servants of Christ, working throughout the city. Efrain is the one who helps us connect with orphanages and other ministries.

We also spend a day (or more) working with full-time missionaries, David and Cristy Clemmer, who serve with LiveSimply4Peru. Like Efrain, the Clemmers help us gain access to people in need. Everywhere we go, we are reaching out mainly to kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
