and Paradise Valley Home For Sale. This town of only 14,000, encompassing a tiny 16.5 square miles, has become THE place to live for the wealthy from all over the United States. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed how buyers from outside Arizona view Paradise Valley properties, seeing them more as residences with office areas where they can work remotely instead of second homes in a resort setting. Paradise Valley should be on your shortlist if you want seclusion and safety.
Rub Elbows with the Famous
Paradise Valley is home to many famous people who have lived there in the past or still have homes. Muhammed Ali once owned a residence here, as did Grammy-award-winning singers Stevie Nicks and Alicia Keys. Rocker Alice Cooper and his wife are long-time residents of Goldwater Estates. Arizona Cardinals head coach Cliff Kingsbury and team president Michael Bidwell own properties here, as does Olympian Michael Phelps.
If that isn’t enough, imagine who will move into Arizona’s most expensive home, slated to begin construction in 2023. BedBrock Developers will construct the massive 18,000-square foot estate, set atop a five-acre mountainside property to take advantage of area views. If you have an extra $30.6 million, this estate with a 10-vehicle showcase garage and multiple swimming pools could be yours.
Why are Paradise Valley Neighborhoods So Popular?
Almost all properties here encompass at least one acre, with many much larger. Paradise Valley is almost exclusively residential, but if you want to live here, be prepared to spend well over $1 million for your dream residence. A Tuscan-style estate in the Cameldale community recently sold for $21 million. The 15,736-square foot home has seven bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and a guest house on 4.27 acres. Of course, you’ll find plenty of stunning homes priced far less. Among the more popular neighborhoods are Camelback Country Club Estates, Colonia Miramonte, Cheney Estates, and La Place du Sommet. These communities are also close to attractions like Downtown Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix, making the combination of seclusion and fun eminently attractive.
