The flood situation in Assam continued unabated today with over 8 lakh people across 2,585 villages in 29 districts hit by the natural disaster.343 relief camps and 411 relief distribution centres have been opened in all affected areas.The Floods have widely damaged the houses, farm lands, schools, bridges and road links across Assam. Lakhs of people have been affected and thousands of families are forced to take shelter on schools, highways and temporary relief camps
