More Info

As an active duty military member returning Shreveport after 13 years, my reconnection with the Shreveport community unveiled a stark reality: a digital divide affecting countless lives within the area. Statistics reveal the disparity, with many lacking access to computers and the internet, hindering job searches, applying for benefits, education opportunities, and healthcare interactions-- vital tasks that now necessitate online engagement. My firsthand experience emphasized the urgency for an organization such as Project I/O, an initiative striving to bridge this gap. Your support directly addresses the needs of our community by funding a public computer lab at the Highland Community Center. This initiative not only provides resources but empowers individuals to navigate the digital landscape independently. Join me in transforming obstacles into opportunities and ensuring no one is left behind in the digital age.
