Jerrica D. White is a Brooklyn based, Ohio bred powerhouse, working to disrupt the way we tell stories in the American Theater, and more specifically, the way new plays get to the stage.
She believes freedom is won through vulnerability and works to give artists a sense of community and a platform to share their stories.
Her mission is to introduce new audiences to the power of theater, connect Black storytellers with Black audiences in a non-traditional setting, and inspire audiences to become early adopters and grassroots supporters of the next generation of playwrights, directors, and actors of Broadway and beyond.
She is creating a one-day development and performance model as a blueprint for other artists to learn how to get their work produced and to gain exposure for her play as she prepares to raise funds for a fully staged production.
This performance creates a new model and medium, by showcasing film, staged theater, and an exhibition to tell the story of world of the play.
