I would like to meet the leaders and patrons of a wide spectrum of religions, ask all the right and wrong questions about their faiths, traditions, financials, fears, etc and then compile what I have learned for you.
At the age of thirty I wonder what or who brought me here.
As a writer I'm fascinated by the unknown, as a family man I'm obsessed with the future, as a scientifically minded person I'm insistent upon proof.
I would like to travel for 6 to 12 months, meet leaders of different faiths and ask them all the wrong questions, then meet their patrons and ask them all the right questions. Then I want to share what I've learned with the world and with you.
This is a religious study, beginning with a social experiment of generosity.
The details: I plan on visiting churches, temples, book studies, and retreats of a wide spectrum of faiths and beliefs, (Christianity in its many forms, Buddhism, Atheism, Hinduism, Paganism, etc.) if possible across other countries. I want to learn what they believe, how they operate their organizations, what kind of a God do they reverence, their traditions vs modern day requirements, how they finance themselves, and so much more. I will compile all the interviews, observations, and metadata into an organized platform for everyone to see.
