This donation page is for a fundraising event at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD, in partnership with Women Supporting Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid and support to individuals and families affected by breast cancer. The event will take place in front of Maggs Gym, on May 5th 2013 at 1 PM.

Women Supporting Women is a grass-roots local non-profit organization which was founded in 1993 by three area women: Harriette Fine, Carol Prager and Sue Revelle. They started the group out of their homes after discovering the need to help women through their journey with breast cancer. It has since grown to serve the entire Delmarva Peninsula, and currently has offices in Salisbury, Berlin and Crisfield, with an additional support group in Cambridge.

This event will encourage students, faculty, and community members to sign up in Teams, who will then participate in multiple 50-yard dashes. But what will they be wearing? HIGH-HEELED SHOES! And that's not just the girls, either! Prizes will be given for various levels of participation and performance, and all proceeds will go to local families and individuals who are battling the disease of breast cancer. This is a great cause to get involved in right there at the end of our Spring Semester. So come, participate! It will be a fun and creative way to both raise money for a wonderful cause, and give a kick-start to Cinco de Mayo!
