Please join UIC's Student Association of Medical Artists (SAMA) for our spring student art show! Current work by both first and second-year graduate students will be on display in the upper level of the museum. In addition, art from past students will be available for purchase in our silent auction.
Feel free to explore our show "Scientific Sketches & Subsurface Scattering: Capturing the Beauty Within" as well as the permanent exhibits of the museum. The International Museum of Surgical Science is the only one of its kind in North America; portraying the art and science of surgery and its impact on modern medicine and culture throughout the centuries. Learn about the field of medical illustration and UIC's Biomedical Visualization M.S. program (one of only four accredited programs of study for this field) from current students and faculty.
The event is FREE, but you will have the option to donate to SAMA before confirming your attendance.
Schedule: 6:00 pm | Doors open. Light food and refreshments will be served. 6:30 pm | Opening remarks; followed by class photos
