Sanitation Kits for Young Girls

Feminine hygiene management is a neglected topic that has far-reaching implications for health, education, and gender. Girls from developing countries struggle to manage their monthly periods and are often constrained by a variety of practical, social, economic and cultural factors. The implications of this gap could have far reaching health implications in the future.

ExSSA Los Angeles (a chapter of ExSSA USA) is taking on the initiative to educate and provide sanitation supplies starting with about 200 girls at Saker Baptist College in Cameroon, an all girls boarding school. With your support of $25 dollars or more, you can help us meet our goal to have all Form one students (typically around ages 11 to 13) get a sanitation and menstrual starter kit that will help guide them to exercise good hygiene and hopefully avoid or limit common ailments that could have serious long term implications. 

ExSSA USA is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that believes in empowering women and girls, providing them with educational and economic opportunities as well as securing their health and human rights as essential in eliminating poverty and achieving social justice.
