Save Prince

Prince was viciously attacked by the foster dog we took into our home. We found blood all over our walls and carpet. Prince could barely make it to me. He was a brave boy on the way to the hospital. We received one bill from a hospital who could not help us and referred us to another one in Alpharetta. That second hospital stabilized him with oxygen and IV fluids, but ultimately could not help his injuries. They recommended we see a more qualified surgeon to save him. We received a bill from them also. We arrived at Blue Pearl, who found he has suffered multiple bite wounds, fractured ribs, a fractured arm, and a massive hernia where his intestinal track was being torn open (risking his organs coming out of it). He needed emergency surgery. We paid $8,700 as their mid-level estimate for this surgery. He has gone through surgery and survived. He has been recovering at Blue Pearl in Atlanta and will be there through Friday, May 12th. 

Update (May 12th): Prince has been picked up from Blue Pearl. He is extensively bruised all under his belly and chest where the surgery was performed. He has no fur on any area of his belly and parts of his top coat had to be removed to assess the bite wounds near his neck and back. He is swollen and in so much pain. He will be taking six different medications for pain and infection prevention.
