My name is Noah Martin, and I was elected to be the Green Party of Washington's delegate to the GPUS Annual Meeting this year in Salem, MA. I am raising money for the cost of travel to and from Boston plus registration.

I am an organizer in Olympia, WA who was elected to be the Green Party of Washington's delegate to the Annual Meeting in Salem, MA. This is an exciting opportunity: the meeting will bring Greens from all around the country to share the developments in their own local conditions, and there will be a number of workshops to help develop organizing skills for participants. A complete agenda can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FvUA0zJzXoGn5cnHoqlumXkHT1jbFVP4WS6EdkBlgdg/edit#gid=0
I am personally interested in attending because there will be a lot of overlap between attendees to this meeting and members of the National Committee, the governing body of GPUS, and other attendees will be active in their local Green Parties. I hope to make the case that people governing GPUS should maintain neutrality in the Green Party's presidential primary. We should have higher expectations than the Democrats, and as a member of the NC I will be pledging to remain neutral in the race and hope other members will take the same pledge or perhaps even pass a resolution.
I also want to use the opportunity to gauge the Green Party's potential as a revolutionary conduit. You hear so many things from people who haven't dug very deeply into the organization, both good and bad: I want to participate in the strategic planning for the largest left-wing organization in the US to make sure the needs and demands of the Movement in the Pacific Northwest are being met. Here in the PNW, we just lost a comrade to an adventurist action against the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma. I want GPUS directly involved in a movement for nonviolent, organized disruption of these concentration camps that could have given this comrade a strategic path that didn't involve suicide, or violence of any kind. These are the kinds of things I want to talk about in Salem.
I will be livestreaming from the meeting, as well as trying to conduct some interviews/discussions with questions from folks in Washington with at least the presidential candidates. I will also be writing a piece for the Green Party of Washington's newsletter. and blog.
Any funds raised over $372.30 will be donated directly to the Green Party of Washington.
