I have no delusions and understand this will be a terrifying and miserable trip. The dangers are high and it makes no sense to leave America and do this for most people- that’s ok. I hope to do something meaningful and challenging in a situation where it really matters. A sustained artillery bombardment is brutal to endures and I’m not pretending to be Rambo. I will certainly shit my pants and maybe even decide to immediately come back -also ok. Your support is appreciated and I hope to make myself and maybe some of you proud.
