Update #3

Meet the next group of kittens that can benefit from your donations!

Jason, Annabelle and Freddie - our newest babies here at Crafty Cat Rescue - were born Thursday 10/6. They were abandoned by their momma under a deck - she took their sibling off to a new nest, but didn't return for them. A good Samaritan bottle fed them for a couple of days before bringing them into CCR on Sunday.

They're doing pretty well, but they could definitely use some support!
They'll be bottle fed with us for at least the next month, before they'll start being able to eat any food on their own.

Donating the $200 dollar amount for a Full Intake Sponsor would cover their medical (when they're old enough to get it done) as well as help us get KMR and wet food/kibble (when they're old enough to eat on their own).

These guys will not be available for adoption for a minimum of 6 weeks - but check out our animals that are available for adoption at petfinder.com.

More Info

In the month of October cats, especially black cats, are in more danger than at any other time of the year.  Reports of animal cruelty and abuse skyrocket during October, especially around Halloween.

To help keep the animals in our area safe, we at Crafty Cat Rescue (of Ann Arbor, MI) try to take in as many strays as possible, especially black cats, during the month of October.  We also do not adopt out black cats during the month of October, to keep them safe.  We do allow them to be pre-adopted, and they can go home in November.

To be able to help more animals, we need your help!

To help as many animals as possible we ask that you sponsor a black cat or stray for the month of October.  The full sponsorship level is enough to handle all the basic needs of one cat coming in, including it's medical, food, litter, toys, treats, and any other basic needs.

Even if you can't sponsor all the needs of one cat, we encourage you to donate even the smallest amount. Every dollar helps us take care of more animals, and get them safely off the streets.

If you donate a full sponsorship - please email your name and address to [email protected] to receive a picture of the cat you are sponsoring, as well as it's story.

We thank you in advance!

Update #2

We are so excited to have reached our initial goal, and it's all thanks to YOU! Crafty Cat Rescue thanks you so much for helping us reach our initial goal of $1000. We've raised the goal to $2000 - so that we can help double the amount of black cats and strays that we can help.

We need your help to reach our new goal by the end of October! We reached $1000 in 6 days, do you think we can reach $2000 in another 6?

We'd like to thank everyone that has donated so far! Our donations so far include 3 Full Intake Sponsorship's (which pay for medical, food, litter, toys, and treats completely for one month for a new intake), and enough to have 3 intake medical's covered, 3 spays/neuters, 3 bags of food, and at least 3 cases of wet food!

Please like, share, retweet, email, and comment on our posts to help spread the word and help us reach our goal!

Thank you again so much!

Update #1

First we want to say thank you to everyone who has donated already, and who are supporting us! You guys rock!!

We're only $215 dollars away from our goal! If we reach the goal we've set, we will increase it (as more money helps more cats).

So far two cats have received Full Sponsorships! In addition to that, we've received enough donations to have the intake medical for 2 more cats covered, buy 2 bags of food, spay/neuter 2 more cats, and buy at least 3 cases of wet food!.

We couldn't do this without donations like yours, so we will say again THANK YOU!

Please Spread the word and help us get more donations to help more black cats and strays in need this October!

Thanks!
