This song was written with my honest emotions about the current state of our country, and it is my hope that it will spark the responsibility of others to help defend the victimized, uplift the marginalized, and fight for what is right.
It is important to me to be a vocal advocate for the equal rights and opportunities of black men, women, and children all around the world. I will be donating all streaming proceeds I make from this song and video to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, a non-profit which pledges to protect the rights of black transgender men and women. This is an organization I hold near and dear to my heart as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The hate and discrimination transgender people of color are subjected to each and every day is real, and non-profts like the Marsha P. Johnson Institute are dedicated to educating the world and facilitating much needed change.
If you are inspired by this song and would like to make a difference, please follow the link to our fundraiser. We are hoping to raise $1000 for the Marsha P. Johnson Institute by August 1. If you'd like to support but can't make a donation right now, please share this video and this message, and continue to share your ideas and actions that will make a difference for our marginalized populations.
