More Info

First established in 2007, the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies is one of the nation’s premier single-author libraries and is home to most of the author’s archives and personal artifacts collected over the years. The Center is led by Professor Jon Eller, a personal friend of Bradbury’s for over 30 years and the foremost scholar of the author’s works.

After Bradbury’s death in 2012, a vast collection of books, papers, voice recordings, letters, and office furnishings were donated to the Center. The sheer size of the collection requires years of careful cataloguing, documenting, and preservation.

Without Ray, the world wouldn’t be the same. Which is why we need your help preserving his collection.

Your gift will be used to preserve the works included in three file cabinets and multiple letter boxes donated by Bradbury. These include documents like a 2005 letter from Steven Spielberg concerning a Bradbury film idea and a 1965 letter from Walt Disney celebrating Ray Bradbury’s most recent article on Disneyland. These pieces provide valuable insight to the author’s life and career, and preserving these documents will help ensure that generations of scholars, authors, filmmakers, and historians are able to pay tribute to the October Man.

Help us preserve the collection by clicking “Donate Now” at the top of the page. Your generous gift for The Center for Ray Bradbury Studies will support preserving the vast collections donated to the Center. Thank you for your financial support.
