Update #1

Thank you so much to all of the generous supporters of this campaign for the families affected by the East Boston fire in April! With your help, we raised over $1,700, which will go directly to support those families in need.

We have now closed the campaign and will disburse the money to the families as soon as possible. Again, THANK YOU for your outpouring of caring messages and donations.

More Info

On the evening of April 9th, a fast-moving 8-alarm fire tore through several homes on Lexington Street in East Boston. The residents, including three young Boston Public Schools students, escaped uninjured but lost nearly all their possessions and are now being provided emergency shelter. The displaced students attend the Hugh R. O’Donnell Elementary School, Samuel Adams Elementary School and the East Boston Early Education Center. This site was launched to support them and their families as they struggle to put their lives back together. Please help them in their time of need. Thank you!

All donations will be processed through the Boston Educational Development Foundation, and 100% of the donations will be distributed to the families affected by this fire.

More information about the fire can be found here
