'Surround the Children'

May 31st, 2013, the world's largest tornado to date ripped through El Reno, Oklahoma and surrounding areas.

Youth and Family Services, a private non-profit shelter and foster agency, took a severe hit and will be undergoing major construction in the months ahead.

The building that houses the children went relatively unscathed. However, the fence around the playground has been completely destroyed. We just received word that insurance will not cover this expense. Due to privacy laws to protect the children, the kids cannot play outside until the fence is replaced. It is of utmost importance that the kids get to go outside, play and be kids.

We have volunteers for labor, but are in need of donations to purchase the fence. We can get the fence at cost, but it will still be around $5,000 for quality fence, posts, concrete, etc.

We want to open this up to our community to get involved and help out this wonderful organization that has been a ray of hope for countless children. For every donation, we will be painting the name of the donor, or someone you wish to donate in the name of, on the fence. Giving levels are posted below, along with name sizes and how your donation will help sponsor portions of the fence.

We want this fence to stand for the strength of our community. It will be a constant reminder to the kids that we can triumph over tragedy and we will continuously surround them with love and support! God Bless!
