Let's Launch The Creative Playground!
I have had the vision for The Creative Playground; a collaborative creative studio and community hub, for years but I was adamant that is needed to be in the twin villages and be ADA accessible for people 7-120 of all abilities who wanted come and explore, learn and collaborate together.
The Creative Playground will be an inclusive studio in Newcastle, Maine offering classes, multi day retreats, sliding scale creative labs, and a collaborative studio with day pass options as well as designated workstation membership. With a focus on community engagement and growth, it will provide a unique offering to people living and visiting Lincoln County.
There will also be a monthly membership option that will give members discounted prices on classes and day passes.
The Goal amount will fund this endeavor fully through community support and will go towards the purchase and or build of workstations, class tables, chairs, a small stage, lighting, movable displays for gallery showings, art supplies and supply cabinets plus 6 months of rent and utilities which will give us a strong footing out of the gate. It will also allow for the funding of a scholarship fund of at least $4000.
All levels of donations from $5 on up are appreciated and below you will see the different levels and their gifts to you who donate.
