Self Introduction, a note to the reader, you!

I know these are not the most fanatically amazing times, However I believe that the power or many can make dreams come true! please consider donating :)

Hello, My name is Carlthron Antoine. Thank you for taking the time to read the description :) here is a little about my story. I hope you'll be moved to contribute, but if not please share this with your community every donation helps! Thank you.

So where am I? Currently working on obtaining my bachelor's degree and flight licenses and certificates to become a commercial pilot with single-engine, multi-engine, commercial and instrument ratings at Embry-riddle Aeronautical university.

But First a little back story:

My parents immigrated from the small Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago in hopes of creating a better life for their future family, they eventually settled on the island of Kauai where I grew up. About four years before I started flight school, my dad became ill with cancer. I stayed to help out and worked while trying to save money for flight school.

Sadly, he passed away the summer before I left for flight school, Leaving my single mom to raise my two younger siblings and help support me through college. We are all currently employed. However, the preschool I work at is closed for the summer, but I'll be resuming work as soon as the semester starts again.

Current Situation:

I'm currently four lessons away from taking my check ride to complete my private pilot's license, but unfortunately, I've run out of money. My mom doesn't make enough to co-sign another loan for me, which means both my flight training and schooling to get my degree in Aeronautical Science are jeopardized due to financial constraints. I currently hold a 3.1 GPA and I'm doing my best to balance work, school, and life. My goal is to complete flight training and my bachelor's degree within the next three years.

Challenges:

Finances are a major strain on my family and me. Flight training and tuition are a significant burden.

Family Situation:

Tuition and flight training cost more than our combined yearly salary's. We both have good credit, however, the income simply isn't enough to Support all of us at the same time.

Self-Help Efforts:

I work at a preschool when I'm not in classes. I've applied for more than a dozen scholarships. To date, I've taken out student loans and received four scholarships and donations to help out.

What I Need, the Financial Breakdown:

In combination tuition, room and board, transportation, is around $70,376 per year(1). The cost of flight training is around 33,000 (2)  a combined total of 102,376 per year.

Conclusion:

Your support is an investment in more than just my future; it’s a belief in the power of dreams. Every dollar donated brings me closer to realizing my lifelong ambition of becoming a commercial pilot. By helping me bridge the financial gap, you're not only aiding me but inspiring countless others to chase their passions relentlessly. With your generosity, I can turn this dream into reality, complete my flight training, and earn my Aeronautical Science degree. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Together, we can soar to new heights.

Donate now to help me achieve my dream!

Every dollar counts. Please share my story.
