More Info

In 2019, Bronte and her family's lives were changed as she received the devastating diagnosis of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS). Among the unfortunate impacts of that news was the interruption of her ability to dance, a talent she is acclaimed for, both nationally and internationally.

Treatment of AIS is based on the risk of curve progression and falls into three main categories: observation, bracing, and surgery.

Surgery is necessary as Bronte's spinal curve is greater than 60°. We need your help to allow Bronte to undergo Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT) a new cutting edge fusionless technique that is yet to be covered by health funds. It is used by only a handful of skilled surgeons across Australia to treat scoliosis.  If Bronte’s Scoliosis is not treated, it could eventually worsen to the point where it affects her lung function.

This Fundly campaign was created at the insistence of friends and family who know there are countless others Bronte has impacted that don't have the opportunity to join us in providing daily emotional, spiritual and other support to the family.

The request is for your prayers for a successful surgery and strength & resilience for her family in this trying time.

If you would like to assist with their financial burden, any donation through Fundly would be greatly appreciated.  All funds raised will go directly to Bronte's medical costs.

On behalf of Bronte's family, we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come.
