Shelby's TOP SECRET Present

About Shelby 

Everyone that knows Shelby knows that she is an avid outdoors-woman and loves four things most in the entire world: her family, her friends, her dogs and charity work (not necessarily in that order). What most people may not know is that Shelby spends most of her time doing things for others. She is not only a full time student and a part time swim instructor, but every year she participates in countless charity events donating her time, energy and money for causes she believes in.  Just in the last 9 months she has participated in the Run10Save10 benefitting childhood hunger, the Wagathon Walkathon benefitting local animal shelters, Austin Autism Bike Ride, a 24 mile bike ride raising awareness for Autism, Colin’s Hope Got2Swim 9 mile charity swim, for which she personally raised over $1000, benefitting Colin’s Hope a charity that raises awareness of childhood drowning, the Hero Rush, benefitting local firefighters and the list continues.... Shelby is an all around great person with a huge heart and I think it is about time someone did something nice for her in return for all the great work she does for everyone around her. 

Our Goal   

Last summer Shelby discovered a love for Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUPing), a sport made popular worldwide by the Austin-based company SUP ATX. However, Shelby is a full time college student with two dogs and rent due every month, so she cannot and will not be able to afford a board on her own and, unfortunately, neither can any one of her friends or family members. So here is my idea: if we all pull together and donate a little bit of money here and there I am hopeful that we, collectively, can buy her the SUP board that she so desperately wants. SUP board range from $885 - $1200 (not including the necessary paddle and ankle strap). The ultimate goal would be to raise $1000 which would buy her a SUP ATX package which includes a SUP ATX paddleboard, a carbon fiber extendable paddle, a protective case/bag, and an ankle strap. 

The goal is to surprise her with the board at her family's yearly beach trip this Fourth of July!! So if you find yourself with an extra $20 at the end each month PLEASE come and donate it. There is even an option to set up monthly donations of any amount! If you know you won't notice that missing $15 from your account that might be a great option! Shelby is such a great person worthy of so much love and admiration and I know this would be the best gift she could ever hope for.
