The Torrey Pines Elementary School (TPES) Foundation was established in January 1987. Through its efforts, the Foundation serves over 550 K-5th grade students currently attending TPES and 22 teachers. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization the purpose of which is to bridge the gap between the curriculum funded by the school district and programs that emphasize the development of well-rounded and productive students. Foundation funded initiatives include: educational field trips for experiential learning, running club, a school garden, art and music programs, curriculum enhancement through technology, as well as augmenting the math and literacy curriculum.
