Tumble Kids Watertown Team Scholarship Fund!
The sole purpose of scholarship fund is to bond our community together, and ensure that NO teammate must go without their gymnastics team as a direct result of COVID and our new normal.
Children and athletes are going to need stability, including their beloved activities and teammates, now more than ever to help combat the long term effects of social distancing.
As educators, health advocates, coaches and lovers of children...we truly do what we do, team gymnastics, because we believe in the emotional, cognitive and physical benefits that gymnastics can provide to children. To us, the last 2 + months in which we have been without our uneven bars and balance beams, is the closest thing imaginable to a world without gymnastics. This is 2 months longer than we would wish upon any child eager to participate in our beloved sport.
Competitive gymnastics...even at the most recreational level is incredibly expensive! Team families spend a minimum of $2,500 per year of month to month tuition fees... and that does not even include summer camp, training/competitive leotards & attire, or yearly USA Gymnastics member ship fee... and not to mention meet fees which total at least an additional $1,000 per gymnast yearly! A family of a high leveled gymnast can expect to spend at close to $10,000 per year on gymnastics!
With COVID and our new normal placing substantial financial hardships on many families within our community, as coaches our worst nightmares are the thought that its a child's involvement in gymnastics that may have to suffer!
Coaches have already personally organized and leotard and mask fundraisers... and thank you to all have already supported our cause through these fundraisers! Thanks to you we have already made strides towards our larger goal...but now we really need your help!
ALL donations made to our scholarship fund will go straight to scholarship recipients in the form of monthly tuition reductions. Which is why we need YOUR help! The more money raised, the more team students can be supported, with larger monthly tuition reductions being awarded!!
Team students/families will be able to apply for financial assistance through our scholarship fund, and recipients will be chosen on a need basis through a third party selection. It is coaches vision that 2 team students will be able to be awarded significant monthly tuition reduction for the 2020-2021 competitive season....but with your help, perhaps MORE can be awarded.
As coaches, our hearts are already so warm thinking of the generosity, support and donations we have already received from SO many of you!

You never know whose life may have been impacted by gymnastics, or similar club sports!
