I am writing to ask you to make a $10 contribution to my effort to complete a voter outreach project to the citizens of Pennsylvania. I need to raise $210 for postage for 1,000 postcards I am sending out next Wednesday, October 21. The postcards are designed to encourage voter turnout in states that will be key to the November election outcome. If you have been reading regularly from Slate you will know that Pennsylvania could ultimately prove to be *the* deciding swing state in the election next month.
The project I am participating in is called Postcards to Swing States. This project enrolls American citizens passionately interested in the future of our nation into a cause to enhance voter turnout such that we can turn our nation back towards a progressive direction. Given the likely capture of the Supreme Court by conservative political interests once Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s SCOTUS seat it is *imperative* that we evict Donald Trump from the White House. The future of our nation and the habitability of the planet is at stake. Climate expert Michael Mann has stated that another four years of Trump would be “game over” for the climate.
Please make a contribution of at least $10 today! If a majority of you I have reached out to donate just $10 I will have the money I need.
If I raise more than $210 I will donate the remainder of the money to the local chapter of the League of Women Voters.
