It’s all over the news, it’s taken over your feed over the last four days, horrifying images the likes of which we’ve only seen in the movies.
Ukraine is under attack.
In a display of patriotism as defiant as we’ve ever seen, the people of Ukraine have come together in the defense and up-keeping of their motherland, with brave men and women putting their very lives on the line, in defense of the brutal onslaught covering their cities.
Ukraine is a nation of over 45 million citizens, and while the galvanization of defense we’ve come to see is truly inspiring, it’s what we aren’t talking about that indeed needs the most attention. We are talking about the hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. Civilians displaced, in desperate need of food, shelter, electricity, and more of the basic necessities we take for granted every day.
Who will stand up for the people of Ukraine?
Who will UNITE for Ukraine?
When all hope seems lost, it is the innate goodness in all humanity that reminds us all that we, as human beings, have an opportunity to truly make a difference.
