"The Sleeping Bag Project NYC" provides sleeping bags to street-sleeping-homeless in New York City

"Walk For Warmth" Walkathon, Sunday, October 12th  7:00am - 8:00pm

 Brooklyn - Manhattan - Brooklyn

  • You can walk all of it or part of it.
  • Walkers are expected to raise at least $100 each.
  • The goal is to enjoy the day with good companionship while doing good!

The walkathon is composed of 4 segments of ~ 5 miles each. 

Segment 1 leaves NY Methodist Hospital at 7 AM walking to the Whole Foods at Union Square (Coffee/Tea). 

The walk goes past downtown Brooklyn, The Manhattan Bridge, The Bowery and Cooper Union.

Segment 2 leaves Union Square at 9:45 AM walking to the Boat Basin café (Lunch).

The walk goes past The Empire State Building and The Central Park Boat House.

Segment 3 leaves the Boat Basin café at 1:15 PM walking to the 9/11 memorial (Snack & Visit)

The walk goes via The Hudson River Greenway.

Segment 4 leaves the 9/11 memorial at 6:30 PM walking back to NY Methodist (dinner)

The walk goes past The Brooklyn Bridge and downtown Brooklyn
