More Info

My name is Caroline Few and I am working with Julian Littlepage and Keith Davis to raise money for West KY Mentoring INC. We are students at Murray State University and are working with other members in our class to raise money for this wonderful organization of our community.

After the dissolution of the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in Western KY, Murray KY was left with hundreds of children without mentors. IN 1996 With help from the Youth and Non-Profit Leadership Program at Murray State University a new organization, West KY Mentoring INC, was created to address the need in the community.

Every year many children who come from single family homes or who show a need for special attention outside of school are able to meet with a mentor after school and get help with school work or just get encouragement from a young adult who cares about their future. Many of the mentors are students at Murray State University. The budget for the organization requires around $50,000 and relies on the local community to continue to grow.

This is a fundraiser that is put on every semester with the Y/NL program at MSU and I hope that this semester you will help be a part of it! This fundraiser will only last until Monday 4/28/14 and we hope to raise $300 by using social media to get our message across. Even if you can only donate $1, you will be helping us to take one more step towards reaching our goal.
