Over the last 18 months, we've proven that we can make a real impact on veterans' lives. Through highly intimate mentorship workshops, and one-on-one transition assistance, Anne Meree Craig and her small team at the Commit Foundation has truly impacted over one hundred veterans, and we're just getting started.
There are *many* great organizations in the veterans space, from those who support wounded warriors with basic, critical needs, to powerful groups like Team RWB and The Mission Continues, who aim to inspire veterans of all backgrounds with themes like physical fitness and service.
Our focus is to go beyond inspiration, and truly impact the way veterans *think* about their next steps, and truly help them maximize their potential through powerful experiences that affect their confidence and imagination, and help them build out a powerful professional network around them, as they plot out the next phases of their life. We believe in making an impact one person at a time, and customizing that impact whenever possible.
Over the last year, we've held workshops for female veterans, for veterans interested in the non-profit sector, for special operations veterans, and for veterans interested in technology and entrepreneurship. In each case, we've brought together a small, intimate group of vets and paired them with an incredible group of successful business leaders. We shut down the cell phones. We close the doors. We get intimate. We talk about life. And we do our best to affect their path. Thus far, it's been pretty awesome, and we can only hope to do better in the future.
We're raising money because we think we can turn this into a full-time effort, run by a small, passionate team, and truly resourcing the workshops, the follow-up, and the empowerment of this network.
